Oldenburg Measurement Applications (OMA)System requirements and software features:

  • Windows™ 98 , Windows™ ME, Windows™ 2000, Windows™ XP, Windows™ Vista
  • Processor Pentium 3, at least 1 GHz
  • 256 MB RAM (or more, if recommended by the manufacturer of the operating system)
  • Monitor at least 1024x768 pixels, 24-bit true-colour (first monitor)
  • Hard disk with at least 1 GB free disk space (depending on the measurement software installed; depending on the extent of measurements and required signals also single measurements may require more space; details are given by the respective installation software)
  • a free serial interface for a PC-controlled audiometer (if used)
  • a free serial interface for a touch screen monitor or an external response box (if used); alternatively, a USB port may be necessary depending on hardware)
  • for full version: a free USB connection for the hardware copy protection (= Dongle)
  • secondary (touch) screen for the patient response box
  • high quality soundcard

Special Note

The HörTech gGmbH offers different computer programs (software) collectively termed "Oldenburg Measurement Applications" to conduct audiological measurements. The individual is held responsible when using this software and it may only be used for research and educational purposes. The software is not approved by the German Medical Product Law (Medizinproduktegesetz, MPG) or other regulations concerning medical devices. Working with these programs requires additional and appropriate technology (hardware). Necessary equipment consists of a personal computer, audio devices (sound card), audiometer and a converter (speakers, earphones, etc.). Recommendations for suitable devices and their implementation may be taken from the software documentation and is also available from HörTech gGmbH. Apparatus assembly and operation for software usage occurs at one's own risk and liability. Abidance to legal regulations lies solely in the operating person's responsibility. Assembling, calibrating and operating such equipment requires appropriate technical knowledge as well as auxiliary devices.

Installation instructions:

The ‘Oldenburg Measurement Applications Basic Software’ setup installs all required basic modules for running the ‘Oldenburg Measurement Applications’. Amongst others it consists of the shared database, the calibration module, the start dialog and some shared hardware modules. To start the installation of the ‘Oldenburg Measurement Applications Basic Software’ please unpack the downloaded zip-file into any folder on your system and run setup.exe. You have to be logged on as administrator or as user with administrator privileges to run the installation on Windows™ NT/2000/XP/Vista or an equivalent operating system. Please read all displayed dialogs carefully and follow the instructions accurately.
